I don't notice the frame. The pack itself is pretty light and I generally
don't carry a lot in mine (just bugspray and spare things if we need to
repair/replace a box, such as an empty rubbermaid container, spare logbook
and assorted baggies). Martini Man carries our "real" LB pack (with
journals, stamps, ink pads, markers, etc) inside his pack seat. He says he
is somewhat "aware" of the frame, but the pack isn't heavy at all.

We originally pulled these things out of the garage (where they had been
languishing for a year or two) last winter since there's not a lot of dry
places to sit when there is snow on the ground. However they are so darn
handy that we use them virtually every time we go out now, regardless of
weather!

How do they feel when you wear them, are you aware of the frame?
Are they heavy?

Thanks!

I should jump in here and tell you that these packs/chairs, albeit
really cool and convenient, do not hold up to big folks. I am 6'4"
tall, weigh in around 280, wear a 13EE boot, and, for some unfortunate
reason, intimidate a lot of people. I used one of these pack stools
once. Once was enough after I had to pack it out in pieces. Understand
that I'm not "out of shape" or obese, just plain big. My wife has a
folding stool like the one referred to without the pack and she loves it.

Alright, enough from me.

Thank you! It looks nice, and a lot easier on the knees when getting
up than the ground is.

Cheers,
catbead
